Two fantastic projects occurred this month - Project Appletree, where we packaged 700 hygiene kits that included shampoo, soap, wash cloth and comb for children going back to school; and Safe Moms, Safe Babies (Neema Village in Tanzania) where our group brought medical supplies, Days for Girls kits, items needed for Neema's birthing center and more. They also hosted a medical clinic - a first for this area! I can't wait to hear more about this heartwarming project.
I hope you can come to our program meeting on Tuesday. Shannon Gowan, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House, will share their mission of providing a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children. And, our first 5th Tuesday social is next week where we will peruse yearbooks from Altrusa Temple's past and enjoy camaraderie.
