The Taste of The Holidays (TOH) is on track to be an exciting event this year as we move forward with decoration work days, invitation stuffing, and all of the other many chores that make our TOH a success. Saturday, September 17th (no this is not a typo) there is a decorations workday at First United Methodist Church in the Youth Gym just North of the Family Life Center. Then, there is an invitation stuffing party (Altrusans just love to party) at Michelle DiGaetano's home on Monday, September 19th. The invitations are set to be mailed on September 23rd. 

          The menu is set; Belton High School Culinary Class will be making the desserts; and the Temple High School Polyphonics will provide the entertainment. We are on track for another great fundraiser.

          Susan Cory, Angela Cases, and their team of energetic Altrusans have brainstormed and have created some exciting events for Make A Difference Day (Lovingly referred to as MADD). Saturday, September 17th will be a workday at First United Methodist Church from 8:30 - 11:30 AM to make Bedtime Blessing Bags for HOPE Pregnancy Center. There will be sewing machines set up...just bring your scissors and your patience and spend some time putting together these little bags that are sure to make a difference in the lives of the mothers and children to which they will be given.

          Then on Saturdays of September 24th, October 1st, and October 8th, we will have work days at Barb Pearcy's barn (50 Stirrup Drive, Morgan's Point). from 8:30 AM to noon each Saturday to make bookcases out of pallets for The Well, which is the new Women's Center at Feed My Sheep.            

          Please do not forget to bring gently used (or new) preschool books, as well as books for women to our Program meeting in September or Board meeting and Business meeting in October, to be donated for this awesome room at Feed My Sheep.
