Altrusa Newsletter, Issue No. 24, November 11, 2016
We should all pause today and take a moment to say a prayer for our veterans. These men and women are the reason we live in a free country and can actually pray without fear of reprisal; hold elections without fear of oppression; and go about our day without socialism and people with guns telling us what to do as in some countries. THANK YOU Veterans!
On another note...what an awesome event in Palestine this past Saturday. The Leadership event was informative and entertaining with Chef demonstrating the making of his Pavlova; discussions on leadership; learning about Altrusa Awards and how to present them...and just good old fashioned fun

Taste of The Holidays is right around the corner and we are ramping up for what is sure to be a Joyful Event. Shirley Ewing and her team of Altrusans are busy working day and night to bring our community an event that will not be easily forgotten. With food and fashions galore...Let's ask Shirley what she needs help with and jump in and assist where needed. Any amount of time you can devote on Wednesday and Thursday will be much appreciated. AND Don't forget to SELL those raffle tickets.
If you have service hours or community hours to go toward our goal of 100 hours for each Temple Altrusan, please email those hours to Chip by simply clicking on his name and emailing the hours. How easy is that...no muss no fuss...no form to fill out!
This coming week is sure to be a very busy one for all of us. Hang in there and before you know it, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and relaxing a bit.
Thank you for all you do for our community and THANK YOU for allowing me to serve you.
