What a Wonderful, Productive Week;-)
This has been a Wonderful and very Productive Week.  Just hearing from our sister Altrusans that are at Convention in Nashville and seeing Facebook posts, we know they are having an awesome time and learning so much about Altrusa.  Can't wait to see them Tuesday and hear some of the stories (the one's that they'll share anyway!)
 
What a nice surprise I received yesterday.  I returned home after taking more boxes to the storage unit to find (actually my sister, Linda saw) a precious, heart shaped painted rock. It had the Altrusa swoop, Temple Rocks and Altrusa Rocks painted on it.  What a wonderful way to spread the word of Altrusa around our community.  Whomever took the time and used their talent to do this, THANK YOU!
 
We have Jessica Cardenas coming tomorrow to inform us on the latest work of the American Cancer Society in our area.  Hope to see you there!
Notes from 100th Anniversary Convention in Nashville
The news I heard from Convention is that Temple was well represented, as we usually are.  Everyone had an awesome time sightseeing, catching up with friends from other areas, meeting new friends, and learning something new about Altrusa.  The International Convention Opening Ceremony began with the presentation of the flags of all nations with Altrusa Clubs.  Our Temple Altrusa banner was present as well as our 3 ASTRA banners for all to see.
 
Temple was named as one of the Distinguished Clubs for 2015~16 as well as 2016~17!  We will keep the momentum going and remain a Distinguished Club in the future as well!  Can you tell that our delegation was excited and proud.  I sure am proud to be a part of this group;-)
