Welcome to our new Altrusa year! My theme is Unity in Community, because Altrusans are all about serving our community! We have many opportunities before us. Our fundraising efforts at last year's Taste of the Holidays were exceptional, so put your thinking caps on and let's dream of how we can best utilize our funds and our talents to improve the community we live in.
Our new board was installed on May 23, and we all look forward to serving our club. Past-President Tara Stafford gave her President's Report which recapped all of the hard work you did this past year. It was truly awe-inspiring to reminisce on all that our club accomplished in a single year.
Upcoming Events
We have a lot coming up this month! My President's Retreat will be held on June 17 at 10:30 at the McLane Room at the Temple Public Library. If you haven't signed up yet, please do. I will share my goals for the year and the results of our mid-year survey. It will be interactive, and I want your ideas for projects and how to make our club be the best it can be! If you are interested in joining a committee, we will have sign-up sheets at the retreat and at our June meetings.
The Taste of the Holidays Committee is in full swing, and they already have a stuffing event on June 22. And, one of our favorite projects is returning on June 25 - Camp Dreamcatcher! Please sign up for these events if you have not already done so.
