Fall is finally here! I'm so thankful for cooler weather and the rain we've received. 

 

Thank you to all who participated in the dinner for Lone Star Circle of Life. For those of you unfamiliar with this organization, they educate and publicize the need for blood, marrow, stem cell, organ and tissue donation. Every year, a team of cyclists rides throughout the state to accomplish this task, and each rider is either a donor themselves, received a donation or has a family member who has been a donor or recipient. And, this year, Sherry Woodard was honored for the incredible number of blood donations she  has given. Special thanks to Debbie Mabry and Debbie Fendrick for the number of years that they have contributed to this cause.

 

If you can come early this Tuesday, Altrusans will be preparing birthday boxes for Promise House at 11:00 am just prior to our business meeting.

 

Taste invitations have been mailed, and we are asking members to share our social media posts to your friends. There will be lots to do in the next several weeks, so please help out where you can. We need all the hands we can, and our aim is to get 100% club participation.
