Sep. 21, 2021 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
After finally reaching a decision on the 2020 Taste of the Holidays, it is time to get busy. This is a brainstorm meeting, and is open to all members not just the TOH committee's. If you are not able to attend please send me your ideas. We will not Zoom this meeting. We need all of you to think of ways to raise funds for projects. We also need to think about ways to elevate the raffle sales for scholarship. Debra Hicks has secured The Vine Church parish hall. We will be able to spread out to discuss and bounce ideas off of each other to finalize what our plan is for this year's Taste. We welcome any and all ideas. Each of you have strengths and gifts that once shared can make for amazing outcomes. Let's do what Altrusans do best; accept a challenge and finish strong. Thank you for all your support. Diana |

Hello Awesome Altrusans! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Altrusa Underwriting Get The Letters Out gathering is Wednesday September 22 from 5:30 - 7:30pm at my home 3202 Stratford Drive, Temple TX. Letters will be spread throughout the house in stacks in alphabetical order by company name or individual last name so you can find the people you know and write a personal note. It is very meaningful, and effective, when people see notes from people they know.
Attached is list of potential underwriters we used last year. Please review the list and send to me or Julie Ruiz asap any business names, individuals, contact person, address that need to be added. THANKS to those who have sent me additions to the list. With the inability to have our usual TOH, sponsorship is more important than ever.
Feel free to bring food / drinks on Wednesday to be placed on back porch table. The weather is looking promising so we can safely socialize outside. ONWARD! Patsy |

Everyone's help is needed to sell raffle tickets this year. This is the only fundraising event we are having for the Taste. Underwriting is doing their part and it is going great. In an effort to help sell more raffle tickets or raise funds, we will be sending a letter to all of the people on our invitation list. This is approximately 1000 letters. We will also include 4 raffle tickets in each letter asking them to purchase the raffle tickets or make a donation. Your help is needed to stuff the envelopes with the letter and raffle tickets. Susie Dawson is opening her home for us. We will be able to spread out and enjoy some social time. Please bring a snack or refreshment to share. If you can't stay this will be a great time to pick up your raffle tickets to sell. Thank you for all your help and hope to see you on the 18th. Diana |

Oct. 24, 2021 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
We will be hosting a Scavenger Hunt for all of our ASTRA clubs. We need volunteers to provide food and drinks for the event. We would like to keep it simple since we are meeting outside so we are planning to serve pizza and cookies/brownies with bottled water. We also need Altrusa members to be drivers for the Scavenger Hunt. Each driver will transport 3-4 ASTRA members during the activity. If possible, we would also like to have someone remain at the pavilion during the event so food and beverages will be available when the ASTRA members return. Sorry for the short notice but hope you will consider helping out! |
