Spring is officially upon us and I hope you are enjoying all the beautiful wildflowers that have sprouted up as much as I am!
I want to start by thanking Brenda Hill for stepping in for me in my absence and leading our last club meeting so well. Thank you!
This week I look forward to seeing you at our Program Meeting as we initiate another New Member, Lisa Dickison, into our club and hear from the Director of Hospice House and their plans to build a house in the Central Texas area. The purpose of the Hospice House is to ensure that no one has to die alone but instead, people nearing the end of their life have the option of staying in a place surrounded by individuals to care for them and support them.
Don't forget that we have 2 more book clubs this year! The next one is coming up next week! Our Biography Book - Scared Fearless will be discussed on April 4th at Corks and Barrels in West Temple. Watch your email or go to ClubRunner for details.
And the last book is our Romance Book Club selection - The Wife Who Risked Everything in May. Details are forthcoming. Please pick up a copy of these books so you can join in our discussion at the upcoming socials.
Speaking of books - we are going to do our last book labeling at our business meeting in April. So now is your chance to gather up any more books you have to donate and bring them on April 11th at 11 am to put our Altrusa labels in them and then we'll get them out to any local organizations that need them! So be on the hunt for that as well! If you know of an organization wanting books, please let Debbie Mabry know and please also plan to help with coordinating the delivery of those books.
