Weekly Update-September 23, 2018
We are entering into a new season this weekend---FALL!   Yeah--- cooler weather, some nice rain and more projects! AND the TASTE OF THE HOLIDAYS. Please join us Tuesday for our 
Program Meeting and you will get all the updates, what we have for Oct/Nov as far as work to be done and your raffle tickets. It is going to be a full meeting.
Don't forget----Mark your calendar for October 27th---we want 90% + participation in  'Make a Difference Day'. It is going to be a great project!

Fall Leadership
LAST FEW DAYS TO REGISTER---registration has been extended to Oct 13th. This will be a great weekend to get away and spend some time with Altrusans from District Nine. A weekend in San Antonio will be awesome. We are going to have a great time and the festivities begin on Friday night with 'Desserts First'.  
 
Fall Leadership Event will take place on October 20th in San Antonio, Texas at the San Antonio Marriott Northwest.

Why I Became an Altrusan
This week Linda Moore answers the question----Why I Became an Altrusan & Why I Remain in Altrusa.  Linda is our Governor for District Nine.
 
Why I joined Altrusa
My employer at that time, wanted me to get involved with a service organization.  I had been involved with other groups in town, but not a real service organization.  My neighbor, Kathy Folley was very involved with Altrusa and just kept telling me I should come and check it out.  So, I finally did.  Took me a little while to figure it out, but then I loved it!!
 
Why I stay in Altrusa
The service that is done in our community is wonderful and the impact we make is awesome.  But the friendships I have made through this organization are lifelong and very special to me!
