It’s hard to believe our first month of the new Altrusa year is already behind us! We’ve certainly hit the ground running, and what a wonderful start it has been.
Our Camp Dreamcatcher registration was a great success, and I want to thank the many members who generously gave their time to help with registration and those who worked at camp. Your willingness to serve made a meaningful difference in the lives of these special kids and truly reflects the heart of our club.
We also had the privilege of recognizing this year's scholarship recipients. Congratulations and thank you to Sheryl Austin and the entire Scholarship Committee for the time, care, and dedication you invested in selecting and honoring these deserving students. Your efforts help open doors and change lives.
The Taste of the Holidays Committee also kicked off planning for this year's event with a wonderful kickoff gathering. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the committee for the excitement and energy they are bringing to this signature fundraiser. They are hard at work planning another amazing Taste of the Holidays, and we know it will be a tremendous success.
A special thank you goes to Debbie Fendrick and Sylvia Winkler for providing delicious snacks at our meetings. Your thoughtfulness helps create a welcoming atmosphere where members can enjoy fellowship together.
One of the highlights of the month was welcoming two new members into the Altrusa family. We are delighted to officially initiate Emily Denton and Debbie Wagaman and look forward to serving alongside them for many years to come.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the President's Retreat. Your enthusiasm, ideas, and commitment to our theme and goals made the retreat both productive and inspiring. Together, we are building a year filled with meaningful service, lasting friendships, and opportunities to make a difference in our community.
As we move into the next month, I encourage each of you to stay involved, invite others to join us, and continue finding your unique "piece" in the bigger picture of service. Thank you for all you do to make our club so special. I can't wait to see what we'll accomplish together!
