I'm excited about one of our Club's favorite projects coming up this week. Project Appletree is Thursday evening at Helping Hands Ministry in Belton. Packaging officially begins at 5:30 but help will be needed earlier to get unloaded and set up. Come when you can, even if you aren't able to get there at 5:30 we'll still be working until at least 7 or even 8 pm. Many hands are needed, so bring a friend you're wanting to introduce to Altrusa. We are not doing a potluck this year so no need to bring a dish, but members may of course choose to go to dinner together afterwards!
The Thriller Book Club has kicked off the year with a great book selection. All club members are encouraged to read The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave and make plans to attend the book club social in early October. More book selections in 3 other genres are coming soon! Stay tuned!
Don't forget, this week is our last meeting at the CAC this summer. Our program meeting this month will be back at RWYC. Please say a special thanks to Mary Pearson and her staff at the CAC for graciously hosting us this summer.
