Well this year is just flying by.  I'm so ready for fall, football and cooler weather.  We have a great program scheduled for tomorrow.  Our very own Altrusan, Marlene Poehimann with Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter will be presenting the program.. This is  the shelter that our club supported on Make a Difference Day last year.  It was a fun project for our club as we redecorated four rooms.  Come and see all the good that is going on at the shelter.  Service Committee will be meeting tomorrow evening at the Temple Community Clinic.  Hope you can attend as we prepare our project proposals for the year.

                   Teresa Bowen Bechtel, ASTRA Chair had a great turn out tonight for her first meeting.  There were lots of ideas for projects and scheduling already on the calendar for all three clubs.  This committee is the backbone that keeps our Salado, Belton and UMHB Clubs going.  Join in on the fun and meet our ASTRA Students. You will be glad you did!   

 Make a difference day is Saturday, October 26, 2019.  I am looking for volunteers to serve on this committee.  We have some ground work laid but would like to get ideas from the club so we can get the project finalized and a project proposal completed by next Tuesdays, Community Service meeting.
