Greetings my fellow Altrusans,
 
What a wonderful weekend of service! A huge thank you to all who played a part in our successful Make a Difference Day Projects!  The Temple Literacy Council benefitted from a very gracious crew pulling together breakfast and lunch for the volunteer training day! And families wanting to venture into a healing outdoor space will get to enjoy a beautiful tranquil Healing Garden at the McLane Children’s Hospital.

Upcoming Opportunities to Serve!
 1) Come at 11 am Tuesday before the meeting to join in another service project!
 
2) Tomorrow is the final day we are collecting for the Fisher House to help provide essentials for families of service members in their home away from home. Altrusans are being asked to bring the following items as you are able:
Paper Towels, paper plates/bowls/cups, Ziploc bags, trash bags (13 gal), Toilet Paper, Lysol Spray & wipes
 
Upcoming Events!
1) Update your calendar for the new Thriller Club social moved to this Friday, October 28th  at 6:30 at the home of Pam Abernathy. (Costumes are encouraged)!
 
2) The District is hosting a Fall Leadership Conference on Saturday, November 12th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Duncanville from 10 am - 3 pm.  Anyone is welcome to attend who is interested in honing your leadership skills and networking with other Altrusans across the the state. Cost is only $60. You can find registration and t-shirt order links in the "links" section below.
