Altrusa International, Inc., in the very derivation of its name, is committed to the philosophy of unselfishness, the joy of giving rather than getting, and to the search for that happiness which is based upon spiritual worthiness.

Altrusa International of Temple, Tx, Inc. purpose is to contribute to the solution of community problems and to help meet community needs while making lasting friendships. Every year grant requests from non-profit organizations are reviewed and projects are selected. Altrusa members donate their time and money raised from the annual TASTE OF THE HOLIDAYS luncheon.
